Previous each year, the top performing students from The Great Debate: The National Civics and Debate Championship are invited to participate.

From experiencing a mock session on the Senate Floor, to hearing from state leaders like agency heads, chiefs of staff and Florida Supreme Court Justices, students have the opportunity to interact with government and elected officials and experience the Florida Capitol during legislative session.

This year, we are introducing nominations for FCDI Day at the Capitol. Do you have a student who is showing strong leadership and/or growth in your speech and debate team?

Nominate them to attend FCDI Day at the Capitol 2025, March 26, 2025 in Tallahassee, Florida. Each student may bring their coach as well as a parent.
